Job Description

Sealed Air is seeking a driven, team oriented, engineering professional to fulfill our current Electrical Engineering opening, located in Ayer, Massachusetts.
The qualified candidate will be responsible for electrical controls and software design from concept to manufacturing release, as well as legacy product support, and manufacturing / sales support.
The ability to handle multiple projects, work independently and interact with team leaders will be critical.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position includes but is not limited to the following duties and
Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop & maintain electrical and electronic control systems including software, industrial & embedded controls.
  • PLC, HMI, VFD and Servo programming for new designs and support of legacy systems.
  • System integration of various packaging and networking equipment controls
  • Support supply chain for component and sub-system obsolescence and technology upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with required safety standards such as NEC, NFPA79, CE, & UL508A
  • Support manufacturing relating to customer orders, inventory, parts, documentation, and commissioning.
  • Troubleshooting & field support with root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3-10 years of relevant industrial controls experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Proficiency with Rockwell PLC software products RS Logix 500/5000, RS Studio
  • AutoCAD Electrical.
  • C / C# programming
  • Ladder Logic programming
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA79.
  • Servo motion system design and programming.
  • Familiarity with UL and CE regulations.
  • Ability to travel if required.
